Local Youths Arrested for Burglary and Vandalism

Fulton Police have arrested two adults and petitioned two juveniles to Family Court in regard to two separate entries at the former Holy Family Catholic School on W. Third Street in Fulton. Charged as adults were Jonathon G. Baker, 16 years of age of State Route 3 Fulton and Zachary J. Coe, 17 years of age of Baldwin Road Fulton.

Fulton Police Officer Injured During Foot Pursuit

Fulton Police responded to a report of a suspicious male possibly entering vehicles in the area of N. Sixth Street and Fremont Street on the City's East side. Police found a male inside a parked car shining a flashlight and fled on foot when approached by police. During the foot chase and subsequent arrest Officer Rick Hahn suffered a 1/2 inch laceration to his lower lip. He was treated at Oswego Hospital and released. The male, John A. Stoutenger, 23 years of age of S. Third Street in Fulton, was charged with Assault 2nd, Resisting Arrest among other charges.

Legislation Introduced to Require Wanted Felon Status of People Applying for Public Assistance
On January 2, 2012 legislation was introduced to the New York State Assembly by Assembly William Barkleywhich would amend the executive law and the social services law, in relation to requiring the division of criminal justice services to check the wanted felon status and other information of people applying for public assistance.
This was as a direct result of the arrest of a Fugitive Felon from South Carolina who was arrested by the Fulton

Pair Arrested In Deceitful Burglaries December 20, 2011

On 9/30/11 Fulton Police warned residents about several reports of a male and female entering residences using deceptive techniques on the homeowner. These howeowners later found items missing from their residences. Through a lengthy investigation Police were able to identify the suspects. On 12/20/11 Fulton Police arrested Matthew Gifford, 36 years old, and Lori Firenze, 32 years old, for multiple charges including Burglary. Both are being held in the Fulton Police Department's lock up pending arraignment.

Police Seek Purse SnatcherNovember 28, 2011
The Fulton Police Department is attempting to identify a male subject suspected of stealing a woman’s purse while in the parking lot of Kinney Drugs in Fulton. The incident occurred on Tuesday 11/22/2011 at about 6:30 pm as the victim left the store. The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build and light brown to medium brown hair.

A man from South Carolina Wanted for Attempted Murder was arrested in Fulton. Edward Lamar Moses, 32 of Cato, NY has been arrested and is waiting arraignment and extradition to South Carolina.
